El 2020 ha fet emergir dos nous impediments pel jovent que estudiava i volia continuar fent-ho. Dos nous factors que provoquen un trencament evident de les seves trajectòries formatives. A Punt de Referència hem vist com, des d’aquest curs, molts d’ells no poden continuar estudiant i d’altres no s’ho poden ni plantejar. Quins són aquests factors?
En primer lloc, el nou reglament de la Llei d’Estrangeria els ha obligat a canviar les prioritats: els estudis passen a un segon terme perquè ara jovent necessita aconseguir una oferta de feina per assegurar que tindrà un permís de treball. Necessita demostrar uns ingressos propis, treballar a jornada completa i, això els obliga a abandonar els estudis.
En segon lloc, la pandèmia ha accentuat la bretxa digital que allunya certs estudiants sense recursos de la possibilitat de seguir les classes virtualment (per manca de material, de bona connexió a internet, falta de competències tècniques per estudiar virtualment, d’un espai habilitat per estudiar i falta de persones de suport).
Des del Projecte Atenea acompanyem al jovent que aposta per estudiar. Poden comptar amb un espai i amb les persones voluntàries que els fan acompanyament a l’estudi, però encara els mancava un suport més: disposar d’ ordinadors per poder estudiar a distància.
Rotary Club Barcelona Millennium és una nova aliança que s’ha bolcat en dotar al jovent amb 10 ordinadors. També AXA n’ha aportat 5 més. Un total de 15 ordinadors que ja estan contribuïnt en millorar les vides del jovent.
