Bienvenidas y bienvenidos al nuevo espacio informal donde podrás compartir tu visión sobre todo lo que afecta a la juventud tutelada y extutelada: el ciclo de conversación El Berenar, a Punt (la Merienda a Punto).
Teníamos ganas de ofrecer un espacio abierto a personas socias, trabajadoras de Punt, cargos institucionales, personas expertas en la temática a tratar y empresas colaboradoras interesadas en debatir y aportar su mirada. Por este motivo hemos abierto este espacio que, de entrada, propone encuentros bimensuales, cada una para tratar una temática diversa.
El día 13 de febrero hicimos el primer encuentro bajo el título ‘De la minoría a la mayoría de edad. Un paso crucial para los jóvenes tutelados’. En esta primera merienda contamos con la participación de Dolors Chavarría del Àrea de Suport al Jove Tutelat i Extutelat, Alícia Castillón del Consorci de Serveis Socials, Pilar Trenchs, socia y antiga voluntaria del proyecte Acoje, Isidre Carbonell, miembro de la Junta, Rita Grané, directora de Punt y Marta Roda, técnica del proyecto GR1 16-18.

La crónica del primer Berenar, a Punt:
Eran las 18h del miércoles 13 de febrero y la cocina de Punt se ha ido llenando de las personas invitadas a la merienda. Algunas de ellas se conocían y otras era la primera vez que tenían la oportunidad de encontrarse. En todo caso, después de una breve presentación iniciábamos la sesión explicando este nuevo espacio y esperando que el debate cumpliera con las expectativas de todas.
Isidre ha abierto la conversación contextualizando la situación de tensión que viven los jóvenes tutelados cuando afrontan la mayoría de edad, el proceso de fragilización que podemos percibir en los jóvenes a medida que se acercan a los 18 años y, como punto clave para combatirlo, la importancia de tener referentes adultos con quien tener un vínculo sólido.
Además del objetivo de tener referentes adultos con quien vincularse, Alícia Castillón sumaba otro reto para acompañar a los jóvenes en el paso a la mayoría de edad: el de prepararlos correctamente (antes de los 18 años) para su emancipación. Observa que hay jóvenes que llevan muchos años tutelados en un sistema que no les ha preparado suficientemente para hacer frente al momento de emanciparse y pone sobre la mesa el planteamiento de como se debe evitar la sobre-protección de estos menores garantizando igualmente la protección adecuada. Dolors responde que lo ideal seria poder trabajar de forma individual con cada joven, atendiendo a la su situación y necesidades, y lamenta que el ritmo actual en el que treballa l’ASJTET, fruto de la llegada creciente de menores no acompañados, no permite esta dedicación.
A pesar de la complejidad de la situación celebramos las nuevas iniciativas que permiten atender de forma más personalizada de estos jóvenes. Proyectos como el GR16-18 de Punt de Referència ofrecen a la juventud tutelada, recursos y herramientas complementarias a las establecidas por los servicios sociales. Marta, técnica del proyecto explica de qué manera el trabajo en mentoría y el uso de la fotografía consiguen cambios positivos los jóvenes: establecen nuevos vínculos con compañeros de fuera de sus circuitos habituales, y les ofrece oportunidades para mejorar su estabilidad emocional. Los buenos resultados en los y las jóvenes y la tendencia creciente en número de jóvenes en situción de tutela hacen que este proyecto se consolide.
Después de una hora y cuarto de conversación toca cerrar el debate. Ha sido muy gratificante poder escuchar la opinión y las dudas de personas con trayectoria diversa pero un interés en común, y ver como han puesto sobre la mesa las diferentes visiones sobre el paso a la mayoría de edad. El grupo ha coincidido bastante al detectar las fortalezas y las debilidades en el acompañamiento a estos jóvenes y se han mostrado muy contentos de compartir una merienda como esta.
En Punt de Referència también nos alegra el buen recibimiento al nuevo espacio, y ya nos ponemos manos a la obra con el siguiente debate que tratará sobre ‘Ser mujer extutelada’. Nos encontramos allí?
