MentorHabilidades invierte la tendencia de abandono de estudios entre jóvenes

El proyecto de mentoría MentorHabilidades presenta los buenos resultados educativos de los jóvenes extutelados que han participado.

Con el claro objetivo de darles apoyo en los estudios y en su itinerario formativo para facilitarles su camino hacia la emancipación, la última edición ha trabajado combinando actividades dirigidas de grupo y en parejas de mentoría (10 parejas de jóvenes y voluntariado), de las que se han extraído los datos que publicamos.

Los resultados del proyecto han ido desgranándose a la vez que la Comisión Europea ha publicado el Monitor d’Educació i Formació de donde destacamos el hecho que España es uno de los países que más debe trabajar para conseguir el objetivo de la UE de reducir del 18,3% al 10% la tasa de abandono de la educación y de la formación.

En contraste con la media de abandono escolar entre jóvenes, MentorHabilidades presenta los siguientes resultados:

  1. Todas las personas jóvenes que terminaron el proyecto también han finalizado el curso con evaluaciones de éxito sin abandonos de los estudios.
  2. La mayoría de jóvenes se han matriculado para continuar sus estudios post-obligatorios
  3. Se han observado mejoras relevantes en el conocimiento y en las aptitudes necesarias para hacer frente a la emancipación.

 

 

De esta infografía se extraen distintas conclusiones, entre las que destacamos que todas las personas jóvenes que terminaron el proyecto también han finalizado el curso con evaluaciones de éxito y sin abandono de los estudios. Al contrario, la mayoría de jóvenes se han matriculado para continuar sus estudios post-obligatorios. También se han observado mejoras en el conocimiento y en las aptitudes necesarias para hacer frente a la emancipación.

 

Las claves del éxito educativo:

Para entender el éxito en la formación de las personas jóvenes se necesita conocer al detalle las distintas vías de intervención y de acompañamiento a la juventud que el proyecto tiene en cuenta:

La mentoría permite a las personas jóvenes tener una persona que les da apoyo en los hábitos de estudio, que les anima a continuar formándose y les ayuda en la búsqueda de vías para hacerlo. Además, durante todo un curso, esta persona les proporciona espacios de conversación informales, de confianza en el que el joven o la joven puede practicar el idioma, compartir sus motivaciones y trazar conjuntamente el trayecto formativo que quieren continuar.

 

La relación de mentoría se ve reforzada en las actividades dirigidas en un espacio de encuentro grupal entre jóvenes y mentores y el seguimiento del equipo técnico del proyecto, que supervisa sus itinerarios y les proporciona recursos para que las parejas de mentoría tengan siempre el apoyo que necesitan.

 

Un futuro mejor.  Es lo que queremos para la juventud y también para los proyectos de Punt de Referència. Es por eso que iniciamos este curso con un nuevo espacio de refuerzo al estudio, donde a partir de ahora las personas jóvenes podrán asistir semanalmente y tendrán personas voluntarias que serán su profesorado de refuerzo.
