Tutelated and extutelated youth are people who have lived part of their childhood and/or adolescence in a care center

The reasons behind tutelage and protection by the Generalitat de Catalunya can be diverse: severe poverty, migrations, negligence, situations of abuse, among others.

For all these young people, turning 18 means leaving this resource of guardianship automatically. Emancipation is a great challenge for them in which it is necessary to value their strengths and abilities, as their starting point makes them more vulnerable than the rest of the youth that has not undergone this process.

Searching for an apartment, training, accessing and maintaining a job, processing documentation, learning how to manage one’s own economy, having trusted adults nearby, and ensuring a good network of friends are just some of the issues that must be resolved autonomously and without support when they reach the age of majority.

For all these reasons, Punt de Referència proposes a professional and voluntary accompaniment that gives them the tools to be part of a more inclusive society.

Young people in vulnerable situation

Some of the young people we accompany have not been tutelated but are in a situation of similar helplessness: without a support network and at the age of emancipation.

The Take In project specifically accompanies young refugees who have undergone a migration process and find themselves in a similar situation to the rest of the young people.

Register a young person in our projects by filling in the following form. We will get in touch with you as soon as possible. Thank you very much!
